I recently upgraded my 1981 M20K and replaced many of my radios so I could continue flying after 2020!  The older radios were all in working condition when they were removed, but they do show some age; particularly on the face plates.  I used to tell everyone I had the most advanced avionics panel available.  Available in 1981, when the airplane was manufactured, that is!  I am not an avionics dealer or shop so I can only speak to their condition when they were removed.  For pricing, I checked EBay and priced all these below the average price I could find.  Here's a list of what I have available:

KMA24  Audio Panel - 12V - $200  *SOLD*

JPI 6 cyl EGT/CHT Scanner - 12V (no probes) - $250

KR87 ADF & KI227 Indicator - 12V - $350

PM1000 4-place intercom - 12V (the knobs are included but not shown) - $100

KN53 - Nav radio w/ GS - 12V (radio and tray only) - $650

All the connectors are included with the various radios.

All together these are $1550.  If you want all of them, send my $1400 and I'll ship you the box.

All prices are Plus shipping.  If you're interested let me know and I'll get the shipping price from Mesa, AZ.

PS - for some reason the picture of the JPI serial number won't upload.  I have that picture for anyone interested.  Just let me know.

There was 1 KY197 removed for the upgrade but since I still have one in the panel, I was considering holding that spare in reserve.  If you really want it I could probably let it go.  The one I have has been working great and I expect I'll upgrade that one in the next few years.  The issue with the KY197 I removed was the face plate was getting pretty rough and the flip-flop didn't always work on the first button push.  The radio itself seems to be working great.  Ebay is selling them refurbished for about $1200 and they have face plate for under $100.  How about $750 and you cover the shipping?  Let me know if you're interested.

Is they KY197 for sale? I have looked twice at the pictures and listing to make sure I'm not missing something.

Do you still want to pursue this radio?

Sorry I totally forgot that I asked about it. One of these days I need to take the faceplate off of my current radio and see if it truly is just the "clean the gold contacts" to make the display work again problem. Also I think the KY197 is a smaller form factor than what I've got right now so I don't know exactly about the mounting. I feel like I'm getting deshavu asking about a KY197, and I was thinking someone else said they were going to keep it as a backup. I'm not in an astronomical hurry about it, just a lingering issue.

What radio do you have in there now?  When I checked on Ebay there were sellers who just listed face plates, so you may be able to clean yours up for pretty cheap money.  If the radio works I wouldn't buy another.

The KX 155 display is no longer in production , in fact none of the King gas charge displays are in production , , be very careful when you try to reseat the pins , they are very thin , and very brittle , they break very easily.....

I have a KY97A I removed for my IFD540 upgrade if you are interested PM me.  The 97A has the LCD display.

Just a *Bump* to keep this thread alive.  If anyone has an interest let me know.  These radios are just taking up space on a shelf and I would rather see them out flying.

I'm going to assume from the high number of people who looked and the low number of people who responded that there's not much interest in my old radios.  I guess I don't have much interest in them either or I would keep them!  If anyone has an interest as a backup, spare, whatever, make me an offer and let's see if it flies.  If I still don't get any takers I'll drop this post and try on Ebay, perhaps.

What can you tell me about the JPI?

Raptor, the JPI is a Scanner.  It has 6 CHT and 6 EGT readings and it cycles through each reading staying for a few seconds.  If I recall correctly it also has a TIT reading so it cycles through 13 readings in about 30 seconds.  There is also a way to manually cycle or stay on one reading if there's an issue you want to keep an eye on.  Let me know if it's something you can use.
