Want to add Hat Rack

Resurrecting this thread...has anyone actually installed a hat rack in a non-rack Mooney? My new M20D would LOVE to have one. 

Anyone have a ballpark on what it would cost? I'm thinking salvage parts are the way to go.

Only one way to find out…

have one removed from a similar Mooney that has one… R&R.

Ref carrying chocks etc on the hat rack.

Don’t put anything on a hat rack that you would be upset if it hit you in the back of your head, because it might in an accident.

That's what the head rests are for, to protect you from the stuff on the hat rack.
