Yetti Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Cool thanks. I think ours are pretty close but I replaced the nasty carpet side panels with leather ones :-) I have an idea how the wiring would go. Not sure my big Yetti Paws can reach into that little slot. I was thinking of rebuilding my glareshield in alum with leather covering, so would probably install LED. Do you have the white Red Switch? If I play with mine too much the right side glare shield lights will stop working until I play with them to come back... Quote

I left in April of '97 for the glamorous life of regional flying. Almost died twice at Airpac. Once in the ice and once in the turbulence behind Mt. Rainier. Boy, when I left there, I was razor sharp on instrument flying! My first year in the mighty ATR with the good autopilot took care of those skills... LOL! 1 Quote

It would look so much better than the heat-wrinkled plastic one! No R/W switch. It's on the schematic, but not my plane. Edited September 7, 2016 by Guitarmaster Quote

I worked at Columbia Pacific Aviation for awhile too. Small world!! When I left Airpac I was probably at my peak in instrument flying. At least I'm not an Airbus cripple yet. Lol. You were there with Skip, Chris, Paul and Jonathon Carpenter!! Oh, Terry too. What a great chief pilot! Edited September 7, 2016 by air cooled dad 1 Quote

Had to follow the CP truck to the runway since I couldn't see the taxiway. I could barely make out the tips of the runway lights in the snow. Soft field take-off in a Chieftain. Fun times... Had to move the boxes! Really bold or really stupid but too young to care. 1 Quote
Yetti Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Not sure you could get carbon to be non glare enough. Maybe create a left and right negative mold, but I think you would have to paint it flat black to keep the glare down. So you could just do cloth and epoxy. I have played with some leather to see if it is glare resistant. 1 Quote

Don't ask me what I paid to get this knowledge... 1 Quote

Yetti Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 And why miss out on one of the few things we can legally work on for our airplanes and miss out on the CB club at the same time. Besides I have done the rest of the interior why pay to have someone do the glareshield.... fffffftttt 1 Quote
