I've decided to go ahead and get an overhaul being that my engine is getting old, tired and making metal. One shop I am talking to mentioned the option of flow balancing which will cost another $900 and give me a little more horse power, 10 I believe, and a smoother running, cooler engine. Have any of you done this or know much about it? If so what is your opinion on the issue?

I think that is basically the same as what GAMI is trying to do with injectors. Most engines suffer from the individual cylinders producing differing amounts of power due to air/fuel mixtures at each one. GAMI just changes the fuel to even them out. So each cylinder is contributing the same about of power. And overhaul sounds much more thorough and complex (even better) job.

Flow balancing ... almost sounds like head porting or intake tuning ??!! It would be interesting to find out what it actually is ...
