There is. Garmin pilot will allow you to do it.

Yes and no. The "panel" screen contains too many other "instruments", resulting in too much clutter.

Our Squadron got an aircraft with a 750 - the data card was out of date, and the SAR button was missing .   We are updating tomorrow - will the SAR button show up with a current database?

Its a firmware revision level. Look at the system page to find out what version its on currently on and then contact a Garmin dealer for an update; probably lots of other newer enhancements will be had with the update.

I thought I read “somewhere” that Sandisk SD cards up to 32GB were acceptable for either the G3X or GTN. Anyone have experience or suggestions?

Any card up to 32GB will work in both. It doesn’t have to be a SanDisk. Larger cards are SDXC format and will not work.
