Happy New Year.

My partner and I both have ANR headsets (Bose/Lightspeed) in our J Model.  The most recent Mooney Flyer had some letters regarding the ability to get the gear warning horn and the stall horn to transmit through the headset so that it is more audible for those of us using the headsets and losing our hearing at the same time.  Has anyone made this happen?  If so, how was it wired and was any additional equipment needed?

Thanks for the help.

I consider my Bitchin Betty (gear and stall signals converted to voice alerts through the headsets) to be one of the best bang for the buck items I got.

2201,

he can hear it, but it may be at a reduced level.  It would be better to have ms Betty wired into the audio panel for a proper warning.

proper for one may not be proper for another.

Is there an FAA standard for that?

fortunately these get tested with the headsets on on every landing.  If the stall horn doesn't go on just prior to landing, something may need adjusting.

Best regards,

X2 one of our partners realized he can't hear the warning horn so we need one

Is there a actual name for this certified box?
