We have a 231 sitting on our airport (2 years now) with a 30 hr factory reman engine) that taxied into a 4 ft deep cement ditch, at night. Not a single airframe piece is usable. EVERYTHING IS BENT. The prop blades are loose in the hub. Idle power event. The owner is behind in his  tie down. Vintage radios.

Actually we found it in the ditch in the morning when everyone got to the airport  Seems he disappeared after it happened in the middle of the night and showed up later  the next day. He was 2 years behind on tie down but he brought it current 3 months ago but I think he is behind again..

WIngs, tail, fuselage all bent. Nose gear toast, maybe mains are OK. 1 flap might be OK. Vertical fin might be OK.

I stumped . Do you see an opportunity here i'm missing?

It must also be in Arizona.

Help out a poor guy, tell me whats going on here.

I understand from a salvage , strip , and sell part point only.

I think he is just passing on an interesting, if unfortunate, tale of sorrow of a once proud Mooney, and its unscrupulous owner.  A tale as old as time...

Ok .

I do think pictures would be a great addition to the story.

Do you think the owner was a member of Mooneyspace?

Yeah.  Like the myth of Icarus, except flying with a K model instead of feathers and wax.  Well, sort of.

Yes I was just passing on the unfortunate fate of a once proud Mooney that met an untimely death.

Just one of many derelict and forgotten Mooneys languishing in slow rotting hell at airports around the world.
