I didn't want to hear those words so the first plane I bought was a Mooney :D :D

+1 My wife was not a big fan of the 0-300  powered 1965 Cessna 172 that I previously owned.  It was a 100kt plane and climb performance was anemic on 100 degree summer days.  She feels like the Mooney is a real plane.

My wife has commented on several occasions that she was glad that we were not in a Cessna. One time was crossing the mountains westbound towards Knoxville at 10,000 msl, dodging cloud tops at 32ºF OAT; headwinds had us down to 68 knot groundspeed. She knows Cessna speeds [or is it "slows"?] but has never experienced high DA climb attempts in one [thankfully!]

I had a 172 before as well and my wife made the exact same comment after flying in the Mooney the first time.  She feels like it is a real plane.  It also helps that she doesn't feel queasy in the Mooney as she did in the 172.

My wife and I were tooling around in a Cessna 140 with the original C-85. She had to take Dramamine to ride. Finally quit riding with me all together. Same comment from her...she absolutely loves our old 63C and no more Dramamine!

Watch it, now. I resemble these remarks...

Rob's wife has been very happy since he bought the Mooney. She likes going fast, climbing quickly over the build ups, and the smooth landings. He finds it as easy to sleep in the Mooney as he did in her old 172.

After getting my PPL in my 150 (the perfect plane for the mission) my wife and I did a lot of flying in it and she was very uncomfortable with turbulence not so in our Mooney
