WX-950 Stormscope removed from single owner airplane - excellent condition - working when removed. The WX-950 is a standalone unit - no processor box in the tail of the airplane. Just the antenna alone new is over $1000.

This was pulled out for a WX-500 to display on Aspens.

Do you need a stormscope if you have XM or ADS-B weather?

First $1250 +$25 shipping gets the stormscope and antenna. You will need the cable for install (meaning you will have to get a cable).

You have any actual with the WX-500 yet. Curious if you like it on the Aspen.

The depth of your WX-10 is 9.22 inches. - total weight is 7.7 pounds.

The depth of the WX-950 is 11.46 inches including the backplate - total weight is 2.9 pounds.

I am told that the same tray is used for both units, as you'll see in picture #2 of this random Ebay ad for a WX-10, so it should fit.

Cool! I've got to fetch my GPS card tomorrow and update it, I'll verify that I have 2¼" additional length behind it. The five pounds will be nice to remove, the 3-blade makes me a tad nose heavy. Then I'll just need to schedule install. Maybe they'll take the old one in trade for labor? If not, there's here and ebay.

Thanks for checking this.

Lance--

This will be really, really close! There is almost 2½" of space between the back of my WX-10 and a diagonal metal brace. The -950 is 2¼" longer . . .

But I'll take it anyway!!

The 950 doesn't use a tray , It bolts directly to the dash like a Gyro , You can gain about 3/8 of an inch by installing it on the front of the panel as opposed to flush mounting it ,
