Will W Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 Where is the plane located? Maybe one of us can stop in periodically if not daily. That usually helps push things along faster. Quote
Wakeup Posted May 19, 2015 Author Report Posted May 19, 2015 Thanks everyone. The plane is supposed to be put back together tomorrow. I feel great about the "other" guy that stepped in and finished the job. He had to fly back to his main job and will fly back next week and fly it. To be honest, I don't want to fly it first after all of this work. I'm hoping to go to the MAPA meeting in Chattanooga in June and learn how to fly my plane after 6 months. 1 Quote
Marauder Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 When you get it back Troy, we should meet up some place for lunch. Maybe I can get some of the other guys to come out of their hangars as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Wakeup Posted May 19, 2015 Author Report Posted May 19, 2015 Sounds great Chris. Looking forward to meeting you and your girls. Quote
N601RX Posted May 19, 2015 Report Posted May 19, 2015 Be sure the person doing the work is aware of the mooney fuel tank AD. It requires that the drain passages under ribs not be sealed off. They are small and anyone not knowing about the AD might seal them off. Quote

I agree with all the comments about playing hardball but it's hard when you are 6 hours away and hard to go after someone that doesn't have a lot to loose. Hope to give everyone a positive update next week. Sadly, when someone has a substance abuse issue, every thing else in their life is secondary. It's not that they screw up the work. They don't have the motivation to start, which prevents screwing up too much. --My exwife had/has an issue with Hydrocodone. Simply amazing a dentist with their own practice, in a growing town, can only manage to make $30K a year. You have my sympathy and I am glad your your plane is will on its way to flying again. Quote
