Dealing with our addiction

Low clouds and rain still keeping me on the ground. Haven't flown in 3 weeks and going out of my mind. We're supposed to be in a drought here in CA. Going to do some tinkering with the plane but that just makes it worse.

How do you deal with not being able to fly?

Look at the weather in the Mid-West. You will feel a lot better. I bet you can keep your hanger door open while you tinker. About 16 degrees in Cedar Rapids today...I did fly Saturday though

Go wax the airplane...that's what I do when weather forces me to be grounded.

Yep it's cold up north but flying on that 10 degree day makes it perform like a rocket no pun Erik.

Solo I can climb out at >2000fpm on a crisp morning.

Easy live in my part of the country.... 70 degrees and clear skies!  If you can get that aluminum mistress this way you could join us for a GREAT Mooney Formation Clinic..... there's your answer bonal!!!!! lol.

That would not be such a good idea for a VFR only pilot such as myself.

YAHOO! Went to the drone and wiped down the plane kept watching the sky and low and behold the clouds parted and gave me just enough room to get her out and do some maneuvers spent about half an hour but the next storm started closing in so made nice approach and landing but definitely had some rust to shake off (me not the plane) felt so good to be up again.

Yea, what he said.... What U talking bout, I don't have no stinking addiction I have a Passion!!  I could quit and walk away anytime.... uh RIGHT!  One needs to call it what it is.. RIGHT?

I spent a grueling yesterday afternoon of passion Polishing my Ol Bucket of Bolts.... 

No I did not put 2 coats of wax... hey look at my age I am doing good to get one on!

Sure glad for creepers rolling around on the hanger floor sure beats scooting around on ones back side!!!

Ok - this morning I got to my hangar 3 minutes after I left my house - it was clear and cold: 9F.....but I've been to California - the real problem in California is....I'm stuck in traffic and I can't get to the hangar!

I'd only wish my addition can be satisfied with a can of wax.  My addition comes in the form of a never ending compulsion to upgrade something.  These planes are pure evil as there's always something that you can spend money on!

Yea we are getting some much needed rain but it keeps me on the ground just started a long vacation I hope to get some good trips in over the holiday season. It's so cool and the air is 100% saturated so it makes waxing kind of tough cause the wax don't dry going to do some work on my interior as indicated on another post I'm still indoors and out of the rain
