bonal Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 AOPA has another quiz to see which movie character pilot you would be. Not enough questions IMO to really get a good idea but I took the quiz and was very pleased with its result. I am John Wayne in The Flying Leathernecks. Take the test and post results. Quote
Rhumbline Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Ditto, but you can call me Duke! 1 Quote

Piloto Posted October 18, 2014 Report Posted October 18, 2014 Jimmy Stewart (Charles Lindbergh) in The Spirit of St. Louis 1957. New York to Paris. 33 hours non-stop with no autopilot. My favorite.  José 1 Quote

NotarPilot Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Funniest line of that movie... "I like this guy Lenny, makes me want to sniff a few lines and fly a jet." 1 Quote
Guest Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Went to the AOPA site, took the quiz only to find out I'm a driver. Went to the AAA site, and found out I'm a pilot. Clarence Quote
carusoam Posted October 19, 2014 Report Posted October 19, 2014 Thanks for sharing, gents! I don't have the courage necessary to take the test. Too much fear of the final result. Best regards, -a- Quote
bonal Posted October 19, 2014 Author Report Posted October 19, 2014 Fear not I'm sure BorealOne as Hillary Swank will be able to get on with his life once he gets over the shock of it. 1 Quote
DrBill Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Add another vote for John Wayne and Leathernecks.   When I graduated from college with my new PPL I wanted to be a fighter pilot in Vietnam. They only offered me Navigator so I did not go. Had a high lottery number. BILL Quote
1964-M20E Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Robert Duvall from The Great Santini Mee too it must be an F model thing. 1 Quote
Seth Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 The only difference between Great Santini and John Wayne is that your #1 plane to fly on the list is the Spitfire (WWII aviation) vs F-18 (modern jet attack/fighter). Â -Seth 1 Quote

Jeff_S Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Count me in as John Wayne as well. I did choose the Spitfire over the F/A-18, mostly because I thought if I ever really did get in an F/A-18 I would probably throw up all over the place. And there's some part of me that says if Brad Pitt can fly a Spitfire, so can I! Quote
Hank Posted October 22, 2014 Report Posted October 22, 2014 Another Santini. Guess I absorbed some things growing up in the Corps. Quote
