I joined Angel Flight SC a couple months ago. As of now I have accepted 3 missions but a all have been cancelled for medical or linking issues. I'm scheduled to be flying a drop off and return next week so hopefully it pans out.

Got to do one on 9/23/14 to HPN.  I wish I had to cash to do these flights all the time.

 

The gentleman was blind and was heading up to have some retina surgery.  Super nice fellow and very very appreciative.

 

What a great reason to get the horse out of the barn.

I have a neighbor and CFI who has bragged of his over 40 Angel Flight sorties. His father, an elderly retired CEO of a big telcom is now funneling assets to him and conspicuously, the Angel Flights have stopped. I like the Pilots for Paws route.

Anthony everybody I've flown so far has been so humble/gracious...........it's really been a rewarding experience. Again, I wish I could afford to do one of these a week if not more.

The picture was taken when we arrived in Pittsburgh (AGC). They started their morning out of FRG in a Cessna 182T to Harrisburg which is where I picked them up and continued on to AGC.

It was their first trip in small airplanes and they loved the experience. They were real troopers too as it was pretty bumpy down low this morning thanks to the winds, but it didn't bother them.

I'm attending a group orientation for Angel Flight West tomorrow morning at my home airport. Should be good to go for missions after this. Can't wait!
