Guys,

I have listed my plane on Barnstormers and Mooneyspace. After barely using it as of lately and getting married and working nonstop I simply don't find the enjoyment I would like to in it. Priorities change, Hope to own another Mooney again one day. Marriage is great and this sale is not via request from wife for the record hahah. Thanks for all the advice, the past year has been a blast.  If you know anyone who is looking for a solid C model I believe it is an incredible aircraft and it would be delightful to find it a new home where it will get used.

Aircraft is listed in sales part of site. 1976 Mooney M20C

Best Regards,

BC

Sounds like rather than selling you beautiful mooney and drifting away from aviation you should go the other way and find any way possible to increase your flying now more than ever. Certainly I don't know your situation but I do know a thing or two about life and one thing I know is when we give up our passions for "life responsibilities" life can bring you down. Good luck with your future and hope you find a way to keep flying.

Have you considered selling part of it to form a partnership, if you believe you'll be back into it in a year or so? Its hard to find the right partner but done right it could be one of the best ways to get access to the right plane for you and fly it enough and maintain it well. I've been thinking hard about partnerships and how to get a good one.

I know guys who are rich enough to own two or three expensive airplanes; but they don't fly them much and that must add to the expense for them.

I guess the hardest part is to be brutally honest with yourself about how much you're going to fly, if at all, and then know when to cut the cord.

I was going under trying to maintain my plane by myself.

10 years later, I'm trying to rationalize getting back into and buying another plane is the obstacle I have to overcome.  It would have been less expensive to keep it.
