Aircraft Tow

I am selling the best airplane tow unit that I have ever had.  I sold my Mooney and used this for moving it around in the hangar.  It moves a Mooney as fast as you can walk and would pull the plane up a ramp into my hangar and over the door tracks without slowing down.  This was a high dollar unit that I paid $5260 for about three years ago.  It is in basically as new condition.

 

It won't unfortunately work with my new plane.

 

I will only sell it to someone that will come to my hangar at KHOU and pick it up because it would take too many stamps to mail it.  Seriously, it is heavy and shipping would be a royal PITA.  If you have a car trailer, or a small uhaul trailer you could move it easy.

I used a SuperTug III to put the Mooney into a borrowed hangar earlier this year.

It was hard to tell which had more power - the tug or the Mooney. 

Nice that the tug's carriage swivels so the nose gear on the plane does not turn when the tug turns.

I bought an Aerostar which weighs 4800 lbs dry.  This tow moves it in and out pretty well until it gets fat with fuel.  The manufacturer gave me a different gear set which I tried and that made it work fine provided you were not in a rush.
