bonal Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 I see the story that mooney production has resumed and I wonder if they are filling existing orders or where the first completed will go. Any one here in mooney space going to sign up. I would love to be on that list but far to rich for my budget. I know some of you have that kind of finances are you going to go brand new or just stick with your trusted steed? Quote
DAVIDWH Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 Not sure the juice is worth the squeezing. I think the only technical changes with the "New" will be the data plate encryption. Quote
mooneygirl Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 I believe the avionics suite is upgraded. I am super happy folks in Kerrville are back to work. It will be nice to see everyone at Kerrville April 10-12th at MAPA Homecoming Quote
bnicolette Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 When are they adding the chute? Wonder if that dentist will be the first one? There was a youtube video of him taking delivery of his last Acclaim at the factory. 1 Quote
carusoam Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 Does the TN get the 310hp variant of the IO550??? It would theoretically get off the ground in under 1000' and still be the fastest four seat, factory built, airplane. And allow Bravo owners to clammer for an upgrade (insert emoticon here)! Inquiring minds want to know, -a- Quote

My C and I are about half a million short . . . . . But I like her, too. Good thing, huh? Quote
Joe Zuffoletto Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Wonder if that dentist will be the first one? There was a youtube video of him taking delivery of his last Acclaim at the factory. Unfortunately he died last year of cancer. His Acclaim was recently sold. Quote

Inquiring minds want to know, -a- It already has it - all you need to do is change out the prop governer to increase the redline from 2,500 rpm to 2,700. There's an STC'd kit for it. I have the kit but haven't installed it yet. Quote
carusoam Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Joe, You'll love the shorter T/O distance that the extra 200 rpm supplies... Best regards, -a- Quote
bnicolette Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Unfortunately he died last year of cancer. His Acclaim was recently sold. Awww. That's too bad. He was really fired up and loved his Mooney. Perhaps you should jump on that 2014 Acclaim Joe. Are they filling orders does anybody know or just pumping them out and hopefully they'll sell? Quote
Joe Zuffoletto Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Joe, You'll love the shorter T/O distance that the extra 200 rpm supplies... Best regards, -a- That and improved climb rates... I've been told 200 to 400fpm depending on load and ambient conditions. The Acclaim already climbs like a homesick angel so that would really be something. I'll bust the Class B above KAPA before I get the gear up! Quote
Joe Zuffoletto Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 Perhaps you should jump on that 2014 Acclaim Joe. I saw Jolie's trailer for "Boots on the Ground" at the factory and it looks like the first one off the line won't have TKS. Deal breaker. 1 Quote
