In case folks haven't noticed, fltplan.com has an eLogbook feature.

I recently started using it. I find it very user friendly and convenient to keep track of things.

Does anybody else use it?

I currently use Zululog but I think I'll check Into this one. I remember when they announced it but had forgotten all about it. If its Fltplans it has to be good right? Thanks Doc

I just took it for a whirl, tried to import all my entries from LogShare.  The import process was fairly straightforward although the FltPlan log columns don't jive completely with the ones in LogShare. In particular, LogShare has a single entry for Route of Flight where you would put departure, enroute and arrival destinations all together, whereas FltPlan wants to separate those into three separate entries.  Also, for some reason even though I matched the columns it didn't import all my remarks.

I didn't test out the in-depth reporting and analytics, which I assume it has. My quick analysis was that while the price may be right, I'm so used to using LogShare now that it's worth the $5/month I pay for it. I'm sure if I were starting out the FltPlan one would be good too.

the $5 also includes weathermeister.com a fabulous wx site by a former Mooney owner, Dan Checkoway. He also did the fantastic site rvproject.com (unfortunately no longer up) which became the gold standard for RV builders.

Well worth it, well played, Dan.

Is it an app or do you need to go a web site to log it?

Kind of both.

I have the fltplan.com elog on my Android device as an app...it's just one part of the FltPlan app.  However, the times you log are apparently kept in a big log-book-in-the-sky, so you have to log in to up-load your entries.

If you don't have the app, you can just go to the main site.

I like Logten Pro - it runs on my iPhone, is Foreflight enabled, intuitive, backs up to my laptop and produces more summaries and reports than I can shake a stick at.
