Despite a marginal forecast of showers & thundershowers, 12 Mooneys and 1 Cessna brought 20 people to Williston last month. Several, who spent too much time eating and talking, had to wait for showers to move through before they could fly home. Oh, the joys of Florida during the rainy season. At least we don't cancel fly-ins at the slightest hint of rain, like our Mooney friends up north. ;)

This month's get together will be this Saturday, August 10, at the Fly By Cafe, St. Augustine Airport (KSGJ) at 11:30 AM, but coming early will get you a better parking spot and more time to mingle.

Future events:

September 14, Lakeland (LAL) Air Harts Cafe
October 12, Flagler (XFL) High Jackers
November 9, Winter Haven (GIF) Pappy's Grill
December 14, Punta Gorda (PGD) Skyview Cafe
January 11, 2014 The tenth anniversary of the Florida Mooney Lunch Group will .
be hosted by EAA Chapter 534 of Leesburg (LEE). They will cook lunch for us in their hanger.

David asks that you e-mail (daveanruth@aol.com) him by Thursday night if you plan to attend so he can call the restaurant on Friday with an estimated head count. Of course no one is obligated to come if, at the last minute, you can't make it for whatever reason.

Come on out, and make new friends!

At St. Augustine! Wow I don't know about that. That may be too far for me. I'm at based out of Craig (CRG). That would be like a 10 minute flight.
