co2bruce Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 I currently have an Ipad 2 and suction mount. This really isn't working for me, and I am going to get an Ipad Mini and mount it to the yoke. For charts, and approach plates this seems ideal. I have an Eagle and I was wondering if someone could give me Ram part numbers for what I will need. (arm length especially). I thank you all in advance. Once I'm finished I will have an Ipad 2 (in like new condition) I will be selling if anyone is interested. Bruce Spencer N2107B KPMP Quote
Hank Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 There's a whole thread about this: http://mooneyspace.com/topic/8130-pirep-ipad-mini-in-yoke-mount/ Quote
co2bruce Posted January 7, 2013 Author Report Posted January 7, 2013 Thanks Hank. Thats thread is where I got the idea from. The actual clamp number, with the arm size was not mentioned. I went ahead and ordered the mount, thanks for the quick response. Quote
Bennett Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 In mid February Ram will release a new mount for the iPad Mini. This is for the Mini without cases or covers. The Mini will slide in from the top, and will not cover up the various buttons on the Mini. In my opinion, this is a much better holder, and the current yoke clamp and double ball extender will work for this holder. As soon as they are available I will switch holders. See my previous PIREP about the yoke mounted Mini for my criticisms about the current RAM mount. Quote
aviatoreb Posted January 8, 2013 Report Posted January 8, 2013 I have published pictures of my iPad mini mounting solution on my gallery, http://mooneyspace.com/gallery/album/13682-n10933/ I use no special iPad mounting stuff from raam - just the generic raam yoke mount, and some velcro on the back of a clear sleek iPad mini case. I went to the dark side and bought it instead of the iPad Mini. Works great, but I like the iPad version of Garmin Pilot better. Quote

carusoam Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 Carriage returns have returned..... It was a setting change related to my browser on my IPad. It was a byproduct of the setting, so it wasn't really obvious... Best regards, -a- Quote
