Mooney factory status in 2024

As a new mooney owner, I'm curious about if there's any new information on how's the mooney company going? Last update I could find is they laid off all employee in 2020 and sold to new owners.

Well they’re open to some extent.  They do make parts, but you need to order them through an MSC.  They might take a while depending on the part.  I emailed them about a technical question a week ago and Frank Crawford emailed me back within a day.

There are some 3rd party parts that Mooney hasn’t been willing/able to order that are pretty hard to find.  Seems mostly for older models.

They no longer make airplanes.   They make some Mooney parts on demand, and apparently stay open by doing contract manufacturing for other companies.

They also have a busy Factory Service Center to service Mooneys.

They did my annual ending in February 2024. AFAIK they are still active with that, as well as Mooney parts manufacturing (I saw their parts cages during a tour), and contract parts manufacturing (for companies you would recognize).
