Hmm, "completely normal" as in they see it on some Mooneys and aren't worried about it, or "completely normal" as in it's in ALL Mooneys?

In context, I will say 'some Mooneys'

When I described what I felt, they both shrugged it off and said "that's normal" and "nothing to worry about"

I did not think to ask vintage specific, or model specific. I guess I should have.

I paid careful attention to the landing gear action in my 1994 M20J during some landing practice last evening. During extension, there is a "thud" when the gear locks down, but no noticeable movement of the floor. There is no similar thud and no noticeable floor movement when the gear retracts.

That's a perfect description of how my 1970 M20F behaves.

Let's ask Daphney and Thelma. They will get to the bottom of this mystery.
