Planejim Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 Had to replace my prop after strike. Any suggestions on what to do with the old one that has the tips bent. Quote

A64Pilot Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 I left mine, I don’t need that reminder. Quote
RoundTwo Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 If it’s hub and all, someone may want to turn it into a cut away model. 1 Quote
KSMooniac Posted June 27, 2023 Report Posted June 27, 2023 The hub might still have value if it isn't damaged... you might ping someone like @Cody Stallings for a consultation before cutting it up or hanging it on a wall. The blades can be turned into modern art with a little elbow grease... strip/sand/polish and display it somewhere? I recently bought a stubby little MT prop blade that was turned into a desk ornament. The story was that it came from a drone operator (big military one) somewhere after the prop got damaged or was simply replaced. The blades got cut down to ~16" or 18" and refinished to make a neat little display piece. Perhaps you could do something similar with your blades too. 1 Quote
Boilermonkey Posted June 28, 2023 Report Posted June 28, 2023 (edited) Where are you based? I might pay shipping just to have something to show students :-) Edited June 28, 2023 by Boilermonkey Quote
