Best Place for Odds-n-Ends Hardware Needs

New to me plane and now it’s time to correct a few little problems like someone’s creative cowl flap repair. I’m now searching for an AN3-7a bolt which seems to be rather rare in local bolt drawers and sweepings collections. Is Aircraft Spruce the best place for onsie, twosie, stuff? Best for me is consistent, quick and reliable with acceptable prices.

Since I’m new to the airport, I don’t want to become the “do you have one of these?” guy.

Pictures for clarity. Fixed nut plate is OEM. Sliding nut plate makes for a very loose and floppy cowl flap hinge.

Don’t buy 1 or 2, buy 10 or more so when your hangar neighbor comes around looking for one you will have one.

I prefer Aircraft Spruce because they have a warehouse next to the airport and I can just drive over and get the stuff. I know most people aren’t that lucky.

Spruce in Peachtree City is right next to the airport. Making a parts run is a good excuse to fly the airplane as any.

I’ve got some bolts on order with them but I’m AOG at the moment. Hopefully they’ll get here Monday.

Usually it is next day delivery in GA if they are in stock in Peachtree City. Even UPS ground

The best place I've found to locate stuff like that is in my A&P's odds and ends drawer in his toolbox. Being that he's the very first MSC, he's got a nice collection.

Order $250 from spruce and they offer free shipping while that may seem like a lot if you wait until u need and oil change or 2 and a half dozen oil filters and cleaning supplies, grease, hydraulic fluid etc you can get to $250 pretty easily.
