M20E in Alabama

Greetings:

I would like to get a "pre" pre-buy on a M20E. It is hangared at Fort Payne, AL.  Do any of your good folks live close by? Or can someone recommend a local mechanic willing to look at the plane and snap some pictures?

It's not too far from Cole Aviation in Rome.  Would they be willing to take it there?

John Cutts at St Elmo Airport near MOB.  Not a Mooney guy but a good mechanic and gives you the sense that he is looking out for you.  He did my pre-buy and so far it has worked out well.

I'll have to stop by and chat with you one day. I've been wanting to stop in Bay Minette and say hi to the ramp personnel.

John did my pre buy in May of 2010.  My experience was good but that was also from a newbee to plane onwership as well and that was the only time I had any dealings with him.  Good luck with your quest.
