Outlets off the left NACA air vent

On my 65E, those 2 tubes are capped with a red cap. What are they for? Just for flight test and certification purpose? For a previous installation? For a possible SB for added ventilation? Anyone has something hooked there?

there is already a radio cooling port on the other side for the grill. I'm surprised they would have air from both sides. I was considering using it for fresh air to the passenger eventually.

I have this and still run a hose to the back of the radio stack to supply some cooling air.

They were cooling hose connections that went out of style when the cooling fan was invented…

Probably a standard part design… my M20C had air cooling from the co-pilot side…

A more capable instrument panel may have used extra tubes for extra radios…

They doubled as a water source for the tube radios…

A Great place for CO to try and enter the cockpit….

 

Tubes made a great heater for purified water tea….

Cooling water to the radios?

It doesn’t actually attach to the radio stack, so any water will drop to the floor, assuming it can make it up the vertical section.
