Looking for an instructor in Longview TX (or Dallas) for a couple of hours refresher in a J

Hello CFIs,

Anyone know someone in Longview TX that might be available for a refresher in M20J. I'm thinking couple hours or so, some basic maneuvering, touch and goes... that sort of stuff. I'm picking up a J from Don Maxwell's this weekend. Friday if possible but it might be Sunday/Monday depending on Wx.

If not Longview, anyone in the Dallas area? I will reimburse for travel expenses.

I would love to but I'm in the middle of a massive plumbing repair job and corresponding insurance claim.  Here with contractors every day and getting stuff organized & handled with home insurance.

59 year old cast iron sewage pipe gave up...and gave up big time...

@TheStig,Talk to Don or Paul, either would be able to help you find someone. They work with several instructors and have always been helpful when I needed to fly with someone in Longview.

If you ask Don Maxwell, he usually has a CFI or two on speed dial. If not, you want @Parker_Woodruff but he's in Dallas.

It’s been a decade since I saw Bob last...

Bob got me up to speed after taking a year off from Mooney flying... a Day or two of various phases of flight and e-procedures... including a stop at Kerrville, a homage or a religious experience...

Icing on the cake... We flew my O home from San Antonio to NJ, IFR....  saw ground speeds over 200nm, the inside of some clouds, waited out an airport that had all its runways closed, and got some ice on approach to the home drome...

You may want to copy your long list of credentials to the line called the signature line... 

It’s sort of a hidden area where all the avatar data gets stored...

Yeap, he did provide me a couple and one is good to go on Saturday. Phil Verhalen. I was supposed to go with Parker but he indisposed with plumbing issue unfortunately. We had been talking about it for a couple three weeks already. Next time Parker.
