Hi,

Whats the best way to get printed hard copies of the shop and parts manual?

Both can be downloaded for free if you look around a bit.   They're pdf files, so you could take them to a printer if you didn't want to print them out yourself.

While you are at it, have them print full size schematics for your serial number.

I cant find downloadable schematics for J model serial number 24-3151.  The packages that I can find have some that are perfect, my model year is a crappy scan and stuff is unreadable when printed, even trying to read online for parts of it.  I’ve thought of buying Mooneys USB but thought I would end up with the same issue.

Here are a couple of copies. One I got from the factory and the other someone else posted. Neither are great for that S/N. I'd get them printed full size and see if they are more legible. I think the originals were E size.

A Mooneyspacer was kind enough to give me his library of schematics. They are all pristine factory prints. If I have your serial number, I will gladly let you make a copy of it. I get to DVT fairly often.

Well, my copies are from Mooney, but they are not as pristine as I thought. They are copies of old drawings. I tried to take a picture of the whole thing, but it wasn’t sharp enough while zoomed in to be useful.

Those drawings are the same resolution I have, pretty unusable.  One saving grace wires are coded with a label, with enough time you can find both ends of the label.  I have been trying to trace power system to find and clean all grounds.

original drawings, drawn by hand... with free hand lettering.... :)

Classic!

Back when engineers were trained to have some penmanship talent... these were probably done by an actual draftsman! :)

The real drawings still exist... if you want to go hunting.

PP thoughts only,  I tried to read some of the wire numbers to see how easy would be...

Best regards,
