The con is they cost mooney. The reality is they dont affect anything that changes the drag of the wing. Its just an extension inside the wing that adds about 30 gallons give or take on each model. Once they're in there, its like having the wetwings, but inside a larger part of the wing, and with 4 fuel caps instead of 2.

I've had long range tanks on three Bravos and never had 4 fuel caps on any of them - just two.

Thanks.  It's funny that I find what I'm looking for on this site better with google versus using the site's own search function.

It should be a natural fit:  a misfitSITE for a misfitSELF!  :D

But with our annual dues at current levels, we really can't complain . . . . .

I am in africa.

Do you mean shops than can install a kit that they will have to order from monroyaero or that they might have in stock ?

Obviously if a shop has one available, then it is more interested in installing the kit than simply selling it. But I am prepared to compensate for this.

See if you can find the area where personal info gets stored... aka the avatar area... post a pic, where you are, what plane you will be flying that kind of thing...

If you can see mine it mentions M20R, NJ, and a pic...

In the US... we have a few shops that specialize in resealing Mooney fuel tanks... this would be the place to go to get tanks extended...

As far as how many fuel caps you end up with depends on what plane you have and what is installed there already...

The Long bodies can have up to 130 gals on board... 100 are the original quantity 30 come with the extended volume...

We have a few MSers in Africa... Mostly in SA.

Sometimes new members can feel uncomfortable about posting where they are and what they have in mind...

You have to recognize to get good information, you kind of have to let your guard down a bit...

Don’t be afraid to type in the extra details...

The Mooney world covers a few continents... Mooneys may be built in TX... but they don’t stay they for very long... :)

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic...

Best regards,
