Came out to my F just to tidy up and noticed a sticky fluid on the pilot side floor mat along with a screw. After some investigation I noticed red fluid on some components. The parking break cable is connected to an arm with red fluid on it. Brakes have been working well in general. I’m not at my home base but flying back in 4 days. Pushing on the pedal brakes feels normal. Any suggestions?6bfedffc06bbd82674336d83260d50bb.jpgfad0aaf32e2a9850caee242a4c769342.jpged2c89fa9a21cc8df43e9a1e44045137.jpg

BTW, just keep an eye on the brake fluid level and wipe up the leak, you will make it home just fine.

You might want to stuff a paper towel in there to soak it up till you get home.

Cleaned it up and put a container under it just to be sure nothing more than a drip is coming out. Thanks for the feedback!

You probably know this but Just a reminder....  It is not brake fluid but 5606 hydraulic fluid.  Brake fluid in there will ruin your whole day...

You are good to go.   It might just be the section hose between the reservoir and parking brake.  If they use the wrong size (like on mine) or wrong type the 5606 will eat through it.   but it looks like.   If you lose all the fluid out of the reservoir the only thing that won't work is the parking brake.   The brakes will work just fine.

Yes the brake fluid I our planes is MIL-H-5606....

It is the fluid that operates our brakes, therefore it is brake fluid!

If you use DOT-3 or DOT-4 it will severely soften the o-rings.

Point taken.  I have had pilots put dot brake fluid in aircraft and they were very impressed with the results and especially the bill that resulted....
