My username is Mooney 231, but for some reason the forum seems to think I'm logged in as RJBrown.  Very strange.  Any thoughts?

Jason:

When you log in, look at the top right of your screen.  See attached.  If the login name you see is not yours, the system has logged you in as someone else.

Easy fix.  Log out and then formally log back in as yourself.

Guys....how hard is it to check the upper right corner of the screen when you sign in just to confirm you're you???

How hard is it to fix the forum software so this doesn't happen?  Of several web forums I frequent, none but MooneySpace randomly logs me in as the wrong user.  Or crash consistently when trying to quote another post, for that matter.

You're right, it isn't hard at all to do, but it's only an artifact of a very flaky forum that we should need to do so in the first place.

Extremely easy...... when it's not you doing the pro-bono work, on a free forum with no advertisements. 05

I think this happens when the previous user doesn't log out properly.  I have seen things that I have posted that I know wasn't me.  I think if the previous user just closes the window the system still thinks they are logged in.  So the next user just assume we the presvious user left off.  I now  make sure I log out properly.  Since then I havent seen post with my user ID that I know I didnt post.  Just a thought.....
