Life has a tendency to throw curve balls...  :)

Another solution for the JPI mounted too far away is a mini display from JPI called an RAD

The Remote Alarm Display can be programmed for multiple functions...

It puts MP and RPM right in front of the pilot.... and can scroll a whole bunch of other things including alarms...

A little bit better than just a light, pretty easy to scan as well.

Keep the C the way it is. If you desire a 430w in your new plane just buy / sell the used units should be a cheap exchange.  However, if it was my plane I’d sell the non waas and replace it with a used ifd540 or 440.
