When I redid my instrument panel last year, I replaced my mechanical tach with an EI digital model.  The mechanical one was working fine, but I didn't want to have to re-route the cable to its new location.  This tach was installed in my M20F in early 2004, about 700 hours ago--it should be fine in an M20E as well (same engine/prop), but might need re-marking to use with other models like C/D/G/J.  Make me an offer.
