That's one of those... go see another of the same Mooney at the local MSC.  To see if they all do that...?

I don't remember that one at all.

See if @M20Doc can shed some light on the situation?

What is the situation with the owner?

Lots of attention to the electronics...?

Not so much with the mechanicals...?

Or is it a lot of updates trying to draw your eyes away from the shortcomings...?

I specifically asked if there was ANY other damage history. Answer was 'No'. So, dunno what to say. He didn't bring the logs, said he would if we moved forward but I don't think we will. Overall a nice looking plane.

Log review comes up pretty early in the process.  Since a copy can be emailed... photos and logs usually arrive before you can go see it in person.

Often logs get reviewed by the owner prior to deciding on moving on to a PPI...

Has this plane flown very much?

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic of any sort...

I've asked for the logs on 3 different occasions.

That's not a good sign.   There's no reason to not see the logs either before inspection or at initial inspection.

Very concerned about the crease that runs THROUGH this mount bolt. NOT the crease parallel to the line I've drawn, the one that goes thru top portion of the mount bolt. Thoughts? Overthinking that?

On a Cessna 182 a very hard landing will put a serious dent in the firewall, but not sure if they do the same thing to the firewall on a Mooney.
