Thanks to a superb instructor, Jack Tunstill and an outstanding pilot examiner, Frank Marsalek, I now have my private ticket. I'm looking forward to owning a Mooney sometime in the not too far future.

Way to go Dan.  Jack Tunstill helped us tremendously when our fight for Oceano Airport began last year here in California. I hope that you will own a Mooney very soon.

Nope. Not sure what's happening on this board, but someone else posted the well wishes above and somehow were placed under my moniker.


The same thing happened to me last week, but reverse. I posted a message and it was placed on the board under another users name.

Congrats Dan!!!   I remember Jack very well from flying Sky 10 several years ago. Jack is an awesome instructor!!!  


Now go and have fun!

Thank you for the welcome and it would true out at 182 knots (210mph) at the end of the takeoff roll of 1320' in 6.6 sec with the MP around 92 inches. It was fun!!


I think owning a mooney is going to be Fun!!! too.

Congratulations!  I have been flying for 40 years, and have NEVER come close to being bored or tired of flying.

Congrats!!!Ditto on the instrument rating!!This entire year with all this rainy weather I have never used it more....speaking of instrument ratings..How are Mitch and Jolie d0ing on theirs????sinc kpc

Hi Kelly.


We are getting close to taking the written.  Doing flying with our instructor and doing "safety pilot" flying with each other.  Step by step!  We are really enjoying all this.
