Great movie!

I wanted a biplane before I saw it, and I'd still like to have one.

Yep there are two scenes where they get jumped from out of the sun.  Both were haunting me today.

I thought the film was ok but I just can't get into computer graphics had the same issue with Red tails But really liked Tuskegee Airmen. Another one that has some great biplane scenes is High road to China and of course The Great Waldo Pepper

The mass flight scenes in Fly boys are CGI, but these folks provided some aircraft for the film, too.

Another great film was a Disney classic entitled "The Time Flyer" featuring a Stearman named The Blue Yonder. Film starred Peter Coyote and Art Carney.
