Wrong whale genus Chris - I think only the marine mammal kind have dorsal fins.

My 63C has one. I guess one of the previous custodians had it installed.

According to Those Remarkable Mooneys, the 1963 M20C had the dorsal from the factory, but not the M20D.

I think some people are confused about what years have them. Basically factory parts on all except the D from 1962-1967, then removed on the C model from '68-'78.

Lots have been retrofitted, and some have had the bigger LASAR or later factory Mooney parts installed. That said, my '66 E has the factory little one, and its mostly stable, but I've caught it rocking a little in continuous chop.
