M20E center armrest

Does anyone have ideas for a removable armrest for a 1966 M20E that can be dropped into place during cruise?  This would be something that would fit over the J-bar landing gear extension handle and would fit snugly between both front seats.  Any existing products?  Homemade designs?  Thanks in advance.

Looking for the same, mainly for drink holders for the front and back seats, a small compartment would also be nice.

Check out seats from typical Airbus coach section mechanism. Of course the Mooney seat is wider.

I out my water bottle on the floor between the seats, all the way back against the back seat. Leaves between the seats free to put charts waiting for use, and to keep a snack handy on longer trips. My hand swings naturally back to the bottle position. No cupholder required!

But then again, I leave my Yeti in the hangar, it's not an aircraft-friendly design. Ditto my other coffee mugs and drinking containers.
