A friend of mine has a tagged 170 from his airplane.  It's collecting dust in the basement.

Get a MX170 brand new for 1850 from Sarasota Avionics.  There is nothing like new.

They are $2439 at Sarasota now. I am getting ready to do a full avionics overhaul in the next 6 months or so and just need something to hold me over until then. The price for a new radio is a bit steep for that.

I have one a 170b that I was using for a backup radio in my Cherokee Six. Now that I have the Mooney I have no need for it. It worked great the last time I used it.
