Hi Bob, we will sleep in and leave Memphis around 9am. Don't get to KEPC too early, or you may get there before the fog lifts 1 Quote
Bob_Belville Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Hi Bob, we will sleep in and leave Memphis around 9am. Don't get to KEPC too early, or you may get there before the fog lifts I need to have our area weather map change. I'm not interested in taking off if there's nothing but low ceilings below for 200 miles. Quote
Marauder Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 You east coast boys should keep an eye out for Joaquin. Looks like it's a brewing... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote

Hank Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Have a good trip, Bob. You're just over 24 hours ahead of us. See you tomorrow in the flatlands. We'll be watching for Mooneys on FlightAware. 1 Quote

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Sad to say, I just e-mailed Mike to cancel. I figure I can get there today, staying in my comfort zone, by routing west of the Appalachians rather than the coastal route, but the big challenge will be getting back to New England on Sunday and Monday when Joaquin is expected to make life miserable around here Quote

And Joaquin isn't even here yet! Inland looks better but would add some miles on... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
mike_elliott Posted October 1, 2015 Report Posted October 1, 2015 Be safe above all, everyone! If your stuck down here for a day or two, well darn the beautiful luck. We are already planning next year's event (Sept 28-Oct2, maybe 3rd, 2016 depending on hypobaric chamber availability Oct 3). This isn't a forced march, stay in your comfort zone. Ron, I and the rest of the Mooney Summit team are not done setting the bar for what an educational Mooney specific gathering should be. We will have many many exciting things to announce in the coming year. All of this effort goes to empowering the Bill Gilliland foundation to provide financial aid and crisis therapy for a downed Mooney pilot's family when they need our help and support the most. 1 Quote
