Where have you guys mounted your fuel flow transducer? Mine was on the deck on the firewall.

been having weird flow indications and decided to check the install instructions. Says it should be level with the fuel servo or put a loop in the fuel hose before the inlet side. Put's it next to the intake sump but closer to the exhaust that I'm not sure I like. Thoughts?

Need straight fittings. And you might want to  clamp that fire sleeve with the banding tool instead of those zip ties

Mine is horizontal with long straight in/out runs.

there are a few issues that the installation instructions try to cover...

1) Bubbles being captured in the sensor.

2) laminar vs turbulent flow.  Angled fittings near the sensor are bad.

3) check for proper tubing diameters in and out.

3) dirt and foreign goo have a tendency to stick in the works. Remove and wash...

4) polymeric retainers on the fire sleeve really stands out. Get the proper bands for that.  Safety wire would be better, but the small diameter wire could risk cutting through the silicone over time?

This comes from my industrial experience more than my limited aviation experience.  Hope it helps,

here is the photo.  IMG_2463.thumb.jpg.c5466f31f0c87ad4e3565

you need these hoses:

fuel line pump to transducer:  124J001-6CR0116
fuel line transducer to injection servo: 124J001-6CR0106

put -6AN straight steel fittings in and out.  Orient the transducer with wires straight up, clamp fire sleeve. then install and clamp the fuel line assy to the #2 and #4 intake tubes.

Thanks for the pic. I did exactly that last night and just got back to earth from 10,500.

I will say it's better. I need to order one new hose because it has forty five degree fittings on both ends from the out to the servo. Might finally put this to bed!
