Today, I passed the stewardship of my beloved mooney on to Captain Phil Bies. We began his transition training and as expected from a Marine pilot, he is up to standards in short order. Phil will be a fine addition to our community, and will treat my ex aluminum mistress with all the love and respect she deserves. I'm back in the saddle now with too many mooneys to fly and not enough time. Life is good

Mike; where are you based? BKV?

Just south, at FA40. I spend a lot of time at KBKV with students Soon, Ill have to change my Moniker pic to one of N49FM. I hope to make the Fl. Mooney lunch circuit again soon. Maybe at KPGD next month.

I'm not sure. I think he took delivery about 3 years ago because he's just bought the Mooney with his son. Come to think of it, that was my first time in a Mooney. Perhaps it wasn't a good idea for him to take me to the test flight of his AA5 in that plane.
