I recently purchased a 1992 Mooney M20J......  Beautiful aircraft!!!  I have looked for the paint "brand and codes" in the logs and the only information listed is Really White, Coral Red and Blue.  I'm certain the paint is a two part polyurethane but cannot fine the codes or cross match.  Can anyone provide some direction?

Thanks!

Paint has changed a lot over the years and even if you had the brand and codes the paint available today would not be the same and after 20+ yrs the original color would have weathered and faded. The easiest and best thing you can do is just have the paint color matched.

Thanks Brian.  Understand and agree.  But I would like to start with what was there to begin with.  There has got to be a Brand and Code for these colors.

According to my logbooks, in 1997 Really White was TP10010 in Pratt & Lambert.

This website may be helpful  http://www.aerotouchups.com/ . Their paint is expensive but the codes are there for many of the colors. They also have a pdf of some color charts.

Releew:

My Mooney still has its original paint job.  When I was part owner of an Arrow it had a white over blue scheme like Lance Casper's shown in his avatar but with a set of silver stripes between them instead of gold.

I have always liked that paint scheme but when I see yours (from your avatar) I like the boldness of the red.  Probably easier to spot too if I end up off airport in Northern Canada.

So..... all this to ask if you can post a pic or two of the exterior of your new-to-you Mooney.  I want to start gathering comparison schemes.
