Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sorry Kevin. My bad. It was a "swing & a miss" at being comical. I was just razzing 201er. No bad blood at all. And welcome to Mooneyspace. I'm really not the idiot you currently probably think I am. Really!!
Marauder Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 Cut 201er slack. NEVER. You must be new. Said in my best Philly accent "Alls ize wants to know, why is der a Baron owner on this site?"
kevinw Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 My bad, friend. I'm new to MS and thought I stuck my nose where I shouldn't. Don't worry...I'll learn. Btw, I read an earlier post about the skywatchTWS you installed. I hate to digress from this forum but is everything still good with that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Marauder Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 I'm really not the idiot you currently probably think I am. Really!! Really? Aren't you the guy who sold a great economical Mooney for a gas guzzling hangar queen? Still waiting for that ride...

Well I'll admit it was kind of moronic but that doesn't make me an idiot. :-) Hmmmm.......well yeah, maybe it does. Damn!!!!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Kevin it was working perfectly. Sadly I sold my 201 though and haven't installed it in my "other" plane yet. But I will. I highly recommend going with an external transmit antenna though.

Marauder Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 Regarding the topic "Blaming Pilots," ... It's mostly every day, mostly anything and everything ... mostly done by anybody and everybody - they are "experts" ... just like the ones on CNN, or the ones on here ... or the ones hanging around the hanger at home ... Should we just embrace it? We're to blame. It's our fault. (Even when it's not!) Don't forget to smile! I've learned to ignore all of them... I'm Joe Friday on these kind of things "All we want are the facts Ma'am". (For you young guns: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Friday) Hopefully the truth will be uncovered. I feel for the families, not knowing has got to unbelievably painful. 1

mulro767 Posted March 23, 2014 Author Report Posted March 23, 2014 Latest facts: Lithium batteries were confirmed packed onboard as cargo by Malaysian officials. Malaysian officials also announce that previous reports of reprogramming FMS 12 minutes prior to last communications were false. The aircraft was programmed for Beijing at time of last communication. Military radar confirms a sharp intentional turn and steep descent down to 12,000'. At 12,000', that search area 1500 nm southwest of Perth, AU is way out of fuel range. CNN is still using a computer nerd as a Boeing 777 expert. At least AA Captain Les Abend is a voice of reason over there. These two pilots tried their best. Linking them to terror or suicide is just wrong without solid facts. 1
201er Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 Yes but the strongest evidence against the captain is the fact that he had a... *gasp*... flight simulator in his house! Extremely suspicious. What would a pilot be doing with one of those?
