This one will be short lived. Ours is a D model but its converted I know on the record its called a D but its really a C in terms of airframe and prop. Should I call it a d or a c

Opinions wanted.

If I owned it, I would call it a "D".  --Just to be different, and I think most people here know what a M20D is and most have been converted.

There are 2 left in their original configuration.....I actually have a POH for a D model.......I don't believe I will ever be able to sell it..

C....it was converted to a C.

It was not converted to a C. It was modified to be a D with retractable gear. An F with a J cowling is still an F.

A rocket conversion is usually referred to as a rocket, but I'd still call the OP's plane a D.

Why don't you shock the aviation world, solve your dilemma and restore your plane back to the fixed gear. While you're at it, put the original type fixed pitch prop on it too.

You're welcome. Just here to help. :P;)

Then there would be four! One of the original three is on this board, but I forget his name.

Sven I think. I wonder if all original fixed gear parts could be found?

Well I'm sure it would be nuts to spend a bunch of money to slow our baby down. It's a D and that's that.

Thanks for the input.

All TLS owners with the 'wet head' modification call their planes Bravo's. Not entirely accurate IMHO.
