  1. Wakeup

    Mains only T&G

Looks like a tap and go to me. I have always had to roll down the runway enough to adjust my trim or I would be in big trouble adding full power with the trim set for landing.
  2. I remember buzzing a few water towers in my day to make sure I was on course. You will never forget your first cross country. I look back and realize how lucky I am to be alive flying poorly maintained C-150. I have enjoyed this thread. Thanks.
  3. I had to remove some eggs last weekend when I noticed a bird nest in my boat exhaust during my walk around. First time I have had that happen.
  4. Did you see any speed increase after Carlos overhauled your engine? I know he likes to make everything go faster. I think Gann Aviation is awesome. Rick does a great job as well. He will being doing my annual next month.
  5. I was accidentally hitting the brakes on landings so I started putting my seat back one notch. I think it helped me stay off the breaks plus I got a little extra room between me and the panel now. I am a low time pilot so if this is not a good idea please advise.
  6. Looks awesome!!!
  7. I think we should have Bill Wheat's signature on the sleeve to pay respect. I never met him but I sure wish I could have had the pleasure. Troy
  8. Relationships are a lot like Algebra. Have you ever looked at your X and wondered Y?
  9. I have a B and I don't think the wooden tail statement is true. I have never read any information about that and I have complete logs without that AD.
  10. Looks awesome! What would be a reasonable price? Just curious and dreaming!
  11. Don, I have not seen any side mounts on my B. I do have a center post. Thanks, Trou
  12. Don, I would be very interested for my B. Please keep me updated. Thanks, Troy
  13. I would talk with Carlus Gann and see what he thinks. I have only heard excellent things about his engines and he is very close. Hope all works out. Troy
  14. Looks great!!
  15. I have had several great experiences with Gann Aviation (9A5). Rick Cayson is awesome. Carlos is the owner and rebuilds engines and hoses. They are well known for building high performance engines. They always have several Mooneys in the shop. Highly recommended!!
  16. Welcome to the club! Looks very nice and I like the looks of the black spinner.
  17. Sent you a message. Thanks. Troy
  18. Nowadays, Most girls have hardwood floors.
  19. I brought my seat to a junk yard and walked around trying out different head rests until I found the one I liked. All of them fit differently. I wouldn't want to just buy a set on eBay. I think I paid $20 for the pair. Troy
  20. I have been fortunate to be in a heated community hangar for the last two years. The price is cheaper then a T-hangar and they pull it out for you with a simple phone call.
  21. I went for close because I was scared to fly after seeing the tank after it was drained. I felt trapped. A year later and I am still messing with my tanks. I have only flown prob 10-15 hours this year because of incompetence. Looking forward to getting all of this past me and would highly recommend going to the pros. I took this picture last week after I drained the tanks. I think I could have sealed it better.. I can see uncovered areas. Troy
  22. I am just curious. How can a home built plane like a RV built by who knows who can do aerobatics and a Mooney can't?? Thanks. Troy
  23. They look great!! Thanks. Troy
  24. I remember a thread that someone made their own sunvisors. I would love some for my M20B. Thanks. Troy
  25. I love a good ending to a story. Strong work on getting down safely and happy to hear you got to see your father. I only pray if that ever happens to me, I will perform the way you did. Hoping for a good outcome all the way around. Troy
