  1. Jim, Taxing on grass with my B last year was no problem. Heads up... You will need tie downs for the grass or you have to buy them. I kept mine from last year and hope to use them this year if my tanks are done. I just called him and he said they are working diligently on them. Hell, It's only been 3 months I hate being in this position Bent over . Thanks for listening. Troy
  2. I'm a CB but for some reason love watches like Danb. It does frustrate me that a 3,000 watch doesn't tell time. My fiancé got me a nice Eco drive citizen that's very nice. I will prob never buy another automatic watch due to the maintanance. Plus you have to have a watch winder for the automatics. Troy
  3. I love my TAG, Breitiling and Rolex. The only one that's keeps the correct time is my TAG because it's the only one with batteries. All the others are alway a few minutes off. Very frustrating Troy
  4. Would they fit my M20B? Thanks. Troy
  5. I repainted everything several times. An insect would always land on my last coat. I removed and reinstalled the metal around the front window next to the door prob 4 times trying to get my door to shut completely. Finally I realized it was the trim around the door that needed trimmed. Everything about a plane takes more time then you think, but I love to save money. CB Troy

  8. Great topic! I just got back from sking in Jackson Hole today and I was thinking how would I manage my engine at a high Elavation. How do older Mooneys fair in high elevations? Thanks. Troy
  9. How much difference is there in an A and C Cowling? I have a B and would think a C would be the same. I am following because I would be interested as well for my B. Thanks Troy
  10. I replaced my horn when I replaced my donuts. Mine was doing the shimmy as well. LASAR has the parts. Troy

  14. Question? I moved to VA from TN 4 weeks ago. I have 3 rental properties in TN and would love to somehow write off my flights back to TN to "visit/maintenance " the property. Is that possible? I don't owe any money on the plane so I'm not sure what I would write off besides gas and hanger fees. Maybe I can buy a "letter" to help offset things. If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks. Troy
  15. Where did you get the pen holder ? I have been looking for one. Thanks. Troy
  16. I laughed when they were having tea or coffee in the back. I can't imagine doing that in a small plane. I did love seeing all those old plane flying. Troy
  17. I think my 1961 M20B had the original firestones on if before I replaced them. I have a pic of them in my gallery. Kyle actually looked at mine when he worked in TN before he went to LASAR. I'm happy for him. Great guy!! Troy
  18. Prayers for the family. No one really knows how they are going to react when the shit hits the fan. I had an engine out (fuel starvation) after only 55 hours of flying and managed to land on a country road, refuel and fly away. It wasn't my proudest day, but it taught me several life lessons. Fly fast snd fly safe. Troy
  19. I was thinking the same. What precautions besides running the engine and switching tanks do you do after a tank reseal ?? Anyway to check for debri anywhere else? Thanks Troy
  20. It was a beautifully day in VA as well. I was on the ground watching everyone fly wishing I was up there. Hope everyone had a great flight that could get out. Troy
  21. If this guy does a decent job at 1/4 the price of the main guys he is going to be busy after the word is out.
  22. How do you get sound from your Area 560 to your headset Piloto?? I can barley hear mine with my headset on. Thanks. Troy
  23. Just imagine what is was like to not have Pulse Oximerty in the operating room. It wasn't that long ago. We just went by if the patient was blue or not to determine their oxygenation. Scary!! Troy
