  1. Where did you get it installed? Trying to decide on the Lynx 9000 or the GTX 345. I have a Aspen 1000 and a Garmin 430W. Any suggestions?? Thanks
  2. Tony did you say you paid a total of $6,000 for your Lynx 9000 including install ?? If so, where??? Thanks
  3. It would be nice if the old postings for planes that sold and avionics that sold could be deleted. It would clean up the page and confusion. My 2 cents
  4. That's what she said !!!
  5. I have purchased two planes from the same guy. The only reason I got his second handydown is because I trust him and trust the way he maintained his planes. I know anything can happen after you sign the papers but it made buying very easy. I just can't decide if I will let the Mooney go or see if I can swing owning two for awhile. My heart still loves my Mooney but I love the Cherokee Six too. It's so Big!!! First world problems. Troy
  6. I would take out about $10K from your bank account for no reason and see how it feels. Owning a plane can do that at any time unfortunately. If you can handle that, you can handle owning a plane. Lol. Good luck on the purchase. I'm only kinda kidding. Troy
  7. Picture of my block. You could literally pull down unlocking it without pushing the side button. Scary!!
  8. Who is using a Battery Tender with their Concord batteries? What's the difference between the two? I don't want to ruin my new battery. Thanks. Troy
  9. Mine looked like this before stripping and sealing. Scary!!!
  10. I replaced mine about a month ago. You can hear/feel the click/locking. It feels 100% secure now.
  11. Lasar has the johnson bar block and Don Maxwell has the baggage door arm hinge. Looking forward to some pics. Troy
  12. The Cherokee Six I purchased 3 weeks ago had a Gill battery and it lasted exactly 2 years. It literally died on my first 2 hour flight back to Roanoke. I have the Worst Luck!! Today my mechanic put a Concord in and checked the alternator and starter, both are ok. Looking to fly it soon.
  13. My new A&P made me buy a Batteryminder Interface Kit from Aircraft Spruce. It was only $69 dollars and you can plug your charger up to it. He put a note in the logs.
  14. Love your panel, suggestions on how and what type of laminate they used? Thanks
  15. Congrats! My B is N74731. I have learned some things today as well. I will be trying the WOT on climb next time I fly. Love to see some pics. Troy.
  16. Rico Suave!!!
  17. I got a 1965 Cherokee Six-260. I picked it up yesterday after getting my high performance endorsement. Flys great except trying learn how to work all the new gadgets.
  18. I am paying $120/month with electricity. Only has asphalt in the middle section. Looks like I will be renting another hangar. 30 min from work and 55 min from home. I can still take call for work from the airport.
  19. Looks like mine are leaking at the top after topping off the tanks. It started after first freeze. When they resealed last month /(year) they repainted the top and looks great. Question ?..Can my guy go from the bottom and fix it so we don't have to damage the top panel ? I'm so tired of dealing with my tanks. I will only buy a Mooney with bladders next time. I actually bought a Cherokee Six last week but would like to keep the Mooney too.
  20. I have flown a few times betwen 11,000-12,000 feet in my B to avoid clouds. I was very tired after each flight. I purchased an oximeter and checked my O2 saturation on my last flight at 10,000 feet and it was 89% and I am healthy. Be careful and buy an oximeter.
  21. I have the big piece of the set. Not sure what happened to the small piece if anyone is wanting to buy. $200. Thanks.
  22. I have never done a mag check in the air. Is the procedure the same as on the ground? Just turn the key and pray it runs smooth. Thanks.
  23. Wanting to buy some materials to start my IR. What should I buy? Like to hear from the guys that recently passed or currently working in it. Thanks. Troy
  24. Big Question?? Where's the wife???
  25. I have owned mine for about 2 1/2 years. My fiancé wants a bigger plane for the kids. What's everyone's thoughts on a Cherokee Six?? I'm not sold on the idea but was contacted by the guy who sold me my Mooney last night and he wants to move up to a turbo or pressurized plane. I still want to sit/fly in a J and see how it feels. Thanks Troy
