I switched from WingX to Garmin Pilot a few months ago so I'll get the GDL-39.

If anyone has experience with the GDL-39 and Garmin Pilot on the iPad, please post it.

Your timing is good, Dave.  I think that Garmin just lowered the price on the GDL-39 to $699.  Presumably to stay competitive.

That's a blast from the past. I haven't seen an 8-track player in more than 25 years. We used to have (what we deemed) a lot of music on 8-tracks; ZZ Top, Skynard, Bad Company, Neil Young....Wow...brings back memories of high school partying!

I can't tell you how depressed I got when I showed up at college with a plug in Radio Shack 8 track player (which I still own too!) and the boys from NYC showed up with Crazy Eddie's "our prices are insane" cassette players! Nothing like listening to Pink Floyd without that "clunk" in the middle of a song.
