This almost completes my migration from laptop to iPad...

The WnB Pro App is excellent. I've done my "F" in this as well.

Aero Balance works great too. Just add your serial number, BEW and it does the rest! Easy setup.

Does AeroBalance offer anything that WNB Pro doesn't? Just wondering because it looks pretty similar on the surface aside from having a few datapoints pre-entered off the type certificate, but it's 4x the cost. I've been using WNB Pro and am quite happy with it so far.

I found a spreadsheet that figures it, and draws the envelope, free. "Google is your friend."

All I did was enter my empty weight & CG, and it did everything else. Now I have another page with various loads for quick reference, and for something unusual I can easily calculate the envelope and adjust loading or fuel as needed.

Dont forget your Garmin aera or 296/396/496/696/796 has a weight and balance calculator installed. Enter the BEW and the moment. Then the passengers, gallons of gas, and baggage. It calculates the gross weight and CG for you.

That's the interesting part Byron. I have also downloaded quite a couple of nice-to-have apps since I got my iPhone, just to discover that my trusty old G296 cam do it all. Many might even be easier to do on the Garmin in flight.

For those of you who use W&B Pro, and also own a J model - where did you get the arm data? My POH does not have any arm data at all.

There should be a graph in your POH / W&B section with notes in the graph itself that indicate arm lengths... Front seats, back seats, cargo and hat shelf.... And ranges for anything that moves...(seats)

They are pretty well hidden. Fortunately, you only need to find them once.

Keep in mind this experience comes from the POH of my '94 O.

Is it possible it was a supplement? Mine was not actually in the POH, it was a separate book with the graph and data.

My 65c had an additional page kept with the log books.

Every plane is born with a W&B sheet.

Modern planes' POH should have any updates for installation and removal of equipment.

Weather it's POH or Log book, it needs to be there...

Look for where equipment has been added or removed and documented, dates, weights, and arms...
