corn_flake Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 I designed a visor template for my M20E. Figure I would share them here if it is useful to you. You can buy 3mm acrylic glass in any color you want from Amazon. If you have access to a CNC laser cutter and a 3D printer, you can have your self a pair replacement visor in about 20 mintues. DM if you need help locating a place with a laser cutter. The visor clip is designed for visor rod that is 4.7mm. Visor Clip Flat Tight.stl visor.dxf 1 4 Quote
M20E for me Posted May 14 Report Posted May 14 Does the torque on the clip screws control the friction/force to rotate the visor? I’m designing one for my 65E that will bolt to the center tube. I was going to leave the legs of the clip open a few degrees so torquing the screw will increase the friction on the rod. Downloaded the STL but haven’t opened yet. Quote

Downloaded the STL but haven’t opened yet. The clip is slightly smaller than the visor rod. Tightening it down will increase friction. Let me know if you need more friction, I can modify the STL and make it tighter. 1 Quote

Used a metal cutting blade and then some sandpaper on the edges. Our instructor broke ours so I used the two pieces as a template. And like the OP, I got the sheet online at Amazon. 1 Quote
Mark942 Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 Corn_Flake, will your mounting allow the visor to swing to the side window?? I have a 64E and need new visors and would like to be able to swing them to the side window like modern cars do. Thanks, -mark Quote

M20E for me Posted yesterday at 02:34 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:34 AM The older Es don’t have the welded on boss so I designed a bracket the clamps on the center tube and has a stainless steel rod pushed through. The visors won’t swing to cover the side glass by its better than now visors. I used Corn Flake’s clip but tweaked it a little. $10.00 for the stainless at $20.00 for the plastic. 1 Quote
Echo Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago don't miss them. With sunglasses and a ball cap visor I am good. They seem to get in the way. Yours and Don's look nice though. Quote
